5 A Side Football Tournament

The Nido Marketing & Cardens Cup 2007

Nido Marketing in partnership with Cardens Accountants will be hosting their, now legendary, Annual Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament on Thursday the 8th of November at the Porstslade Community Sports Centre.

As usual 12 teams from local businesses will be battling it out on the pitch to become the overall tournament winner and lift the crown of Champions of 2007! Last year local graphic design agency Door 22 emerged as worthy winners after an excellent performance throughout the competition.

The aim of the event (apart from having fun and showing off your footballing prowess) is to raise funds and awareness for two local charities;
Honeycroft Under 5's Centre and the Rockinghorse Appeal. Last year we raised £720 and we want to smash this target this year so we need all the help we can get!

We will be holding a raffle on the night so if you would like to
contribute a prize to this worthy cause it will be greatly received and in return your company will get a mention on the night. There is plenty of space for spectators to watch the action from the bar area so bring along your supporters to cheer you on!

Date: Thursday 8th November

Time: The first game will kick off at 18:30 and the tournament should finish at approximately 22:30

Entrance Fee: £75 per team

Where: Porstslade Community Sports Centre

Nido Marketing Fun Day 2007The Fun Day will take place at Stanmer Park on Friday 13th July and will run from 2pm until 6pm. We would love you to come along for the entire afternoon or pop in at any time.

What's it all about?
This is a chance to get out the office for the afternoon and do something different! The Fun Day is an event for companies from the local comminity to raise money for charity, network and have some fun at the same time! What more could you ask for! There will be games and activities taking place throughout the afternoon ranging from beat the keeper to rounders, which we hope you will participate in and enjoy. If you would prefer not to take part in the games that is absolutely fine, you are most welcome to stroll around the grounds, visit Stanmer House or simply use the day as an opportunity to chat with other people attending. The Grand Finale will be our Nido Raffle! We ask that you provide your own picnic or food to eat if you feel like eating. We will be providing soft drinks on the day but we request that you decline from bringing alcohol to the event. For more information on Stanmer House and the parks facilities go to www.stanmerpark.co.uk

Honeycroft Under 5’s Centre
The charity we are supporting is the Honeycroft Under 5’s Centre opened in the late 1960s. Each year it has increased in size, popularity and services, it has now become one of the largest playgroups in Hove and Portslade. Since 1984 Honeycroft has integrated children with “special needs” into the playgroup. All children are treated equally and have access to all activities. In an attempt to provide even more resources for children with special needs, and more importantly, to promote parental choice, Honeycroft developed SNIP (Special Needs Integrated in Playgroups) Through this work all providers of under 5’s care in the Brighton, Hove and Lewes area are being encouraged to provide integrated play and are able to access the information, resources and support SNIP is able to offer. Honeycroft is not run, or funded by, statutory agencies, it is a voluntary charity that is run by Trustees who employ the Centre's Co-ordinator and staff team. Getting There

Car: Stanmer Park is situated approximately 3 miles north of Brighton, off the A27 Lewes Road and next to the University Of Sussex. There are many areas to park on the grass verges just off the small road that runs through the site. Parking is free!
Bus: The No. 25 from Brighton city centre stops right outside the park.
Train: Falmer is the nearest train station and is literally a 5 minute walk from the park. As you come out of the station head towards the University Of Sussex (not Brighton) and use the underpass to get across the A27. Once at the University entrance turn left and the park is a short stroll ahead of you.
